I was impressed by their professionalism and care in selling my late husband's Ferrari.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Estate Exotics do?

Estate Exotics provides discreet, full service vehicle curation and sale oversight for fine automobiles. We guide owners, families, and executors through assessment, preparation, presentation, and a controlled sale process designed to protect value and reduce burden.

Who do you typically work with?

We most often serve:

  • Families managing a vehicle after a loss

  • Executors and estate attorneys

  • Living owners who prefer a turnkey, dignified sale

Our role is especially valuable when time, emotion, or distance makes a private sale impractical.

Do you purchase vehicles directly?

No. Estate Exotics does not buy vehicles for resale.
We act solely as a professional steward and advisor, representing the vehicle and the client’s interests throughout the sale process.

What types of vehicles do you handle?

We specialize in fine, collectible, luxury, and enthusiast automobiles. Each engagement begins with an assessment to ensure the vehicle is an appropriate fit for our process and market network.

How is the vehicle priced?

Pricing is determined through a strategic review of condition, documentation, provenance, and real market data. We do not inflate values for marketing purposes, nor do we rush vehicles to sale without proper positioning.

What does the $2,500 retainer cover?

The refundable retainer is applied only to necessary pre sale expenses such as:

  • Professional detailing

  • Light mechanical service where value is added

  • Photography and presentation

  • Documentation review and preparation

Any unused portion is returned at closing.

How do you get paid?

Estate Exotics collects a 7% fee of the final selling price.
This aligns our incentive with the client’s outcome and ensures transparency throughout the process.

How long does the process take?

Timelines vary depending on the vehicle, market conditions, and preparation needs. Our priority is not speed, but accuracy and stewardship. We will provide realistic expectations at the outset.

Do I need to be involved once the process begins?

Very little. We manage communication, buyer screening, negotiation oversight, and documentation. Clients remain informed without being burdened.

How are buyers screened?

All buyers are vetted for legitimacy, financial capability, and seriousness. This protects the vehicle, the client, and the integrity of the transaction.

What happens if the vehicle sells outside your process?

Once an agreement is in place, selling the vehicle through another channel without consent disrupts the curated process. In such cases, the remaining retainer may be forfeited, and additional costs incurred may become the responsibility of the client or estate, as outlined in the agreement.

Why not just list the car online?

Public listings often invite speculation, price erosion, and unnecessary exposure. Our approach emphasizes controlled presentation, qualified interest, and professional negotiation to protect value and reputation.

Is my situation confidential?

Yes. Discretion is foundational to our work. Details regarding the vehicle, ownership, and estate circumstances are handled with strict confidentiality.
